Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

This policy explains how SwiftDataworks Nigeria Ltd ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data through this website. We are the data controller for information you provide here, and we handle it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

Patient data inside SwiftPractice

This policy covers the website only. Clinical and patient records held inside the SwiftPractice EMR belong to the hospital that operates it. In that setting the hospital is the data controller and we act as a data processor on its behalf, under the agreement between us. If you are a patient asking about your medical records, please contact your hospital directly.

Information we collect

When you use this site, we may collect:

  • Demo and contact requests. The name, hospital or clinic, email address, phone number and message you enter into our contact form.
  • Technical data. Standard server and security logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages you request, generated automatically when you visit.
  • Anti-spam checks. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots, which processes limited technical signals to score the request.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, patient identifiers or clinical details through this website.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your demo request and arrange a walkthrough.
  • Answer questions and provide support to prospective and current clients.
  • Keep the site secure, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.

Our lawful bases under the NDPA are your consent (when you submit the form), our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Cookies

We keep this site deliberately light. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage in your browser is limited to what is needed for the site and its security checks to work.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, and only as far as needed:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides the Turnstile anti-spam check.
  • Our email provider, so we can reply to your request.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep demo and contact requests for as long as we are in touch with you about them and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then delete them. Security logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out. You can ask us to delete your request sooner at any time.

How we protect it

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect the information you send us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to guard against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete your data, or restrict how we use it.
  • Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting earlier processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

To exercise any of these, email us at info@swiftpracticesoftware.com and we will respond within the time the NDPA allows.

Data transfers

Some of our providers process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer protections consistent with the NDPA for such transfers.

Children

This website is aimed at hospitals and healthcare professionals, not children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children through it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
